Yes or No to GMO

In a group of four, research the basics of the GMO debate using the 'Need to Know' page. Decide, as a group which side to chose to represent in your forum. It is okay if not all group members agree on which side to take. Having a group member or two who would support the other side of the debate can be an asset, especially for the rebuttal.

 

As your letter to the MLA is an individual project it does not need to support the same side as your group work. The main point of this letter is to determine your understanding of the issue. So choose a side and back it up with as much information and scientific data as possible.

 

You will discover from your reading that there is still room for experimental evidence to support both sides of this debate. Do not be discouraged about these yet revealed data sets. There is enough evidence and inferences for you to have a strong argument for both sides. Good luck and have fun!!
